I walked down to the park after the brunt of Hurricane Irene had passed to take some pictures. I got some decent shots of the flooding in Nutley’s Memorial Park. AKA - The Mudhole. Now I know where it got its alternate name.

I also put together this video of the raging Third River in all of its flooding glory.
As for my personal flood story, my wife and I had just packed up everything in our kitchen and moved it into the basement so that our kitchen renovation could get under way. Well, guess what, four inches of water and a dozen soggy boxes later and my basement is finally clean. For now…
